From Saracen Hotel you can also visit the large archaeological site of Selinunte: the huge Acropolis, the ancient city and the sanctuary Melaphoros. Segesta, known as the “rival” of Selinunte, is another important Greek cities, which still reserves an ancient temple, while the theater offers an unforgettable view of the sea.
From the coastal road, you can join Agrigento, called “the most beautiful city of mortals” by Pindar. Agrigento reveals its clear vocation of great Greek city and also all the features described by Pirandello and Sciascia.
The Archaeological Park of Valle dei Templi keeps traces of the temple of Juno, Concordia, Hercules and Jupiter. In the small valley, the Garden of Kolymbetra is a small oasis with several Mediterranean plants and citrus trees.
